According to a new research, exposure to stress can greatly affect the microorganisms residing in the deep layers of the skin, in the mucous membranes, in the saliva, in the gastrointestinal tracts and in many other internal areas of the body. These microorganisms are called microbiota. Though their impact still isn’t proven yet, but the point is, stress is always a bad thing. The research showed that taking a 45 to 60 minute afternoon nap could help control blood pressure and manage stress on the micro level. So don’t worry, if you think you need some sleep, take a nap during the day and wake up to a happier life.
